I just watched George Galloway's appearance before the U.S. Senate Comittee. I had read the transcript years ago but never actually seen the footage. What struck me even more when actually watching it was not so much how well Galloway performed, although he was great, but how utterly jaw-droppingly inept, idiotic and shameless the senators (Norm Coleman and Carl Levin) were. I wanted to reach into the screen and wring Carl Levin's ignorant little neck. God know's he'd be better suited to being served up as a sunday roast than any sort of serious public service. And Coleman seemed to have gotten lost on the way to the special ed. class. Unbelievable. How the hell does the USA operate at all with non-entities like that making decisions on the hill?
